Wanderful Media’s Chico office held a ribbon cutting and reception on Thursday, February 6, 2014, for the official business community welcome from the Chico Chamber of Commerce. Event attendees included Chico City Councilmember Sean Morgan, Chico Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Katie Simmons and Wanderful Media CEO Ben T. Smith, as well as community and business leaders, local media, Chico State students & professors, and family & friends.

The office, located on 325 Broadway Street in the heart of downtown Chico, is a century old building that has been newly renovated into a modern open plan office.   Over 45 employees work in the office that boosts an open “warehouse” vibe in the front with loft workspaces in the back, air hockey and shuffle board down in the basement and a large, centralized glass encased server room that rises from the ground and through the middle of the building.

Bob Clark, VP of Technology for Wanderful, opened the ribbon cutting by introducing David Halimi, the building owner who talked about the history of the building and its modernization. He was followed by David Griffith of Griffith Architects who spoke about the massive project and transformation of the building.

Sean Morgan spoke next about the importance of bringing business to not only Chico but to downtown.

He was followed by Ben T. Smith IV speaking on the company’s commitment to Chico and fostering relationships not only with Chico State but with the community as well.

Katie Simmons welcomed Wanderful to the Chico and to the downtown community.

A ribbon cutting and open house reception closed out the fun and eventful evening.
